At first hot yoga was a way to stay fit and release energy while pregnant because running was no longer an option. I quickly realized it gave so much more than that. It helped me with anxiety issues that I’ve struggled with since my teen years, gave me confidence I didn’t know I needed, and helped me find ways to control and process my emotions. I love the challenge of the hot room and how every single day feels different on the mat. I love seeing how strong my mind and body can be in uncomfortable situations. I especially love seeing my students’ love for the practice grow; you can literally see their faces, eyes and smiles change over time. It’s such a transformative practice that happens over time like little puzzle pieces.  I wouldn’t be teaching today if it weren’t for the FUEL studio and community. I remember taking my first classes at Fuel thinking ‘gosh I love these teachers and studio so much’, and now here I am a teacher here. I just feel so grateful to be apart of this community teaching where my love of yoga first started.
