April Dos Santos
After recovering from a long-term eating disorder, I founded Fuel Your Optimal Self, a coaching company aimed to help humans cultivate what I call Optimal Wellness, which focuses on healthy relationships with food, lifestyle and self. On my own healing journey, I learned the importance of somatic movement, or incorporating our entire essence into our physical endeavors, through gentle and attentive practices that focus on the body at a cellular level. Yoga was essential to my own understanding of somatic movement and the yoga community offered me a home I didn’t know I was missing.
An unexpected opportunity brought me to Pilates, and I began teaching in 2018. The union of Yoga and Pilates completely transformed my body’s strength and how to harness it from its nucleus. I’m tremendously grateful to share Pilates with my Fuel community and give back to a group of people who enhance my life beyond measure.
